He turn's 27 - 1508

Every year this date means a lot to me. It reminds me of a special person I grew up with. A strong bond developed between us and we did many things and shared many things except our ladies Hahaha.

This year he turns 27. He would be a teacher just like me, teaching English.

Audrey reminded me of a post I did about his last year, Fifteen-O-Eight, thanks Audrey.

I texted his mother to wish him Happy Birthday and I apologised fornot being able to wish him personally. Insya Allah I will visit you during Hari Raya and I'll tell you all about being a teacher so far and what its like to teach at our 'Dream School'.

Diki, I pray for your well being and perhaps one day you will find a way back. Get well soon Hadiki. So many people miss you. I miss you.

I sometimes have dreams about you. We would bump into each other somewhere and sat down somewhere and watch the sunset and all we did was enjoy our mochas and chatted the night away.

It was so real. I would wake up from my slumber and pray that you are safe.

Another milestone for me.

Today's run I had aimed to reach 9 km before the 60th minute mark but I was shy 0.07 km.

At 60 mins I had reacher 8.93 km. So near yet so far. My average speed was 9.0 to 10.0. I dashed at 11.o at the 59th minute and increased to 13.0 at 59'30. I am not sure if I will do another 60 minute run tomorrow. Maybe just a 6 km run but increase my base speed and aim for a shorter time.

My legs did not give me any problems today and I was very thankful for that. I will attempt another 60 minute run sometime this week. Probably on Wednesday or Friday morning.

On another note I have been playing the 'Chef' for the past two nights. Last night this is what I dished up. A trial dish.

Sauteed Boneless Chicken with pan fried capsicum - Red and Green with sliced carrots and potatoes.

Additional ingredients: Chopped herbs, Black Pepper and iodised salt

Cooked with a teaspoon of Olive oil

Conclusion: Tasteless. Had to eat with Chilli sauce and Tomato Ketchup

Tonight's Dish

Sauteed Boneless Chicken with pan fried carrots, green capsicum and tomatoes.

Additional ingredients - chopped herbs, lots of black pepper, chili paste (Lada kisar) and a pinch of iodised salt spread earlier on the boneless chicken breast

Cooked with a teaspoon of Olive oil

I made this dish for two people and asked my younger brother, Tenno, to try it out.

Verdict: He said 'Nyaman jua' and asked me what I had put inside the dish and how and what I needed to prepare the dish.

Conclusion: The additional Chili paste and lots of black pepper made the dish spicy and no additional sauce was needed.

Its Your Day - Six One Double 'O' Seven

Its that time of the year when a certain special someone grows a year older and a year wiser.

She is my inspiration, my motivation, my best friend, my future wife.

This year's celebration is very low key because we are preparing for our wedding and all so all costs considered we might have a major celebration next year. The most important thing is we have each other.

I remember the 'Double Whamy Birthday Celebration' that I fiendishly souped up for her last year. It was the best, at least I thought it was. I surprised her on her birthday and the day after her birthday. If you wish to know more, here is the link to the post on my 'former' blog.
