Today I get the opportunity to meet my students parents. A chance to exchange views and build a rapport with their guardians. I always give an honest assessment of their attitudes, weaknesses and strengths. I have been fortunate to come across parents who are understanding. But that was in the past, today will be different because this is a big year for me as I help my girls prepare themselves for their second major exam in their young lives. As I have always reminded them, just with prayers and no effort is not enough to guarantee achievement.
