EPL Tonight!!

After a rather disappointing outing for England in the Euro2008 qualifying, most of the players will be back in action this weekend, to be presice, tonight!

'Some' predictions on the matches playing tonight :-

Early Kickoff 12.45 p.m. (U.K. time)
Wigan V Man Utd - Man U will be without both leftbacks Heinze and Silvestre whom are out through injury which means a start for french leftback Evra. Man U start as favourites after their 2-0 at OT hosting the Magpies. Wigan have played only twice at JJB Stadium this season recording a win and a draw. They are currently in 15th position with only one win, two draws and 3 losses. Bet your money on Man Utd to carry on their winning form and breaking Wigan's 100% home record this season.

15.00 (U.K. time)
Arsenal V Watford - Wenger will have a tough time picking his team with the lost of some key players after the international break. They would love to continue their winning streak and catch up with the league leaders. I forsee no problem for Arsenal eventhough they are without rightback Eboue, Brazilian Baptista and Swedish Ljungberg. However Watford have yet to record a win this season and are now in the bottom three of the EPL. You never know what is going to happen in the EPL

Man City V Sheffield Utd

Middlesbrough V Everton

Aston Villa V Tottenham

Portsmouth V West Ham - Harry's team have made a remarkable start to the season with the signing of Sol Campbell. They are 5th in the league while West Ham who were thought to be highflyers have failed to impress with the captures of two worldclass Argie players in Teves and Mascherano. West Ham have to start picking up the points to avoid relegation. But my intuition tells me Portsmouth will have no trouble getting the 3 points at home.

Liverpool V Blackburn - Blackburn are said to be Liverpool's bogey team. They have a tendency to play extremely well against the big teams and tonight will be no easy game for the Reds. The Socceroo's star Lucas Neil will be watched tonight as he was a summer target by Benitez. Neil is hoping to impress and get the deal back on track when the transfer market opens in January. They are currently in 9th position above the Reds seperated by one point. The Reds will be hoping to get back to winning ways before their ECL match. Looking into my crystal ball it was very murky, which means we will just have to wait and watch the match. Best of luck to the Reds.

Late Kickoff 17.15 (U.K. time)
Reading V Chelsea - What can I say about this match? No offence to Chelsea fans but I'm hoping that Reading will do 'a Middelsbrough' when they host Chelsea. They managed to hold Man U to a draw and I know they will play with their hearts on their sleeves againt the 'Star Studded' Roman Blues. Good news for Chelsea is Joe Cole could possibly start his second match after his long injury. Chelsea need to win to stay to intouch with Man U who are ahead of them in goal difference.

So have a nice weekend everyone. Its just a footy weekend for me.

I would like to extend an invitation for Mitsubishi Airtrek Owners - N/A and Turbo - to visit our website at http://www.airtreknation.org . Some of the members are planning to 'lepak' tonight 14th Oct 2006 and are planning to meet up somewhere and have a convoy to DeRoyalle Cafe @ Midnight. So don't be shy. If you happen to know someone who owns an Airtrek please help spread the word. Thank You.
