My Holiday will end this Sunday and I think I have accomplished what I have set to do during the holidays.
I went on a Golf Marathon starting with the Garden course on Saturday morning with Adi, G-Boh and Zul (Adi's Brother-in-Law). I played considerably well by my standards on the first 9 and had a horrible second 9.
Then we were suppose to play on Monday morning at RBAGC but Adi's daughter caught a high fever so we decided to put it off till the afternoon hoping that her daughter would recover and let her father play some golf with us. Selfish? I know. So G-Boh and myself went to warm up at the Garden course in the morning. We both played very badly. Adi's daughter was still having the fever so we cancelled the afternoon Tee-off. *Bummer*
Tuesday - No Golf. I have tanned myself enough. My arm look like I sprayed half of it dark brown on purpose. So taking a break was necessary. But I did go to the Empire Driving range to practice my driver and 3 wood just in case I got called to play at RBA. I came up with a routine that I picked off GolfIdigest which I read a long time ago. I practiced it and *Whack* I managed to let it fly and straight. I kept on doing the routine and I was confident of my driver.
Wednesday I received a surprise wake up call at 6 a.m. Adi called me and said if I was free we can play 18 at RBAGC. Hell yeah! *LoL* We met up at Mali's Nasi Lemak place in Lambak (infront of Milimewah) at half past six. Had breakfast with his wife, Sad and we met up at RBAGC at quarter past 7. We were done by half past eleven and I had to rush off to M.S. to pick up my sister. I carded a 111 gross score and managed a par on the 14th hole (I think) Par 3. I am glad to say that 90% of my driver went on the fairway. I am not a strong hitter of the ball and I only average around 170 - 180 m on my driver, I think. But it went straight and that is all that matters to me.
After picking up my sister I called up my fiance and asked if she wanted to lunch out with my sister and myself, and we agreed to meet at Ideal - Delima Satu. While waiting for her, she called me and told me some jerk had bumped her right side of her rear bumper. This jerk also mentioned he was unemployed but had the money to driver around. He fooled us by giving us the wrong phone number but we got his license plate number and I will get it checked tomorrow morning and will lodge an official police complaint. Jerks like this fellow must be taught a lesson.
After lunch Adi called me and asked me what I was doing in the afternoon and I said 'Nada pa pa. Napa?' He said 'Main di Pantai sama Hj Jawawi!' Hj Jawawi is my 'aturan nini' which translate to 'grandfather', who also happens to be Adi's uncle. Temptation - Hell Yeah!! So off I went to Pantai Mentiri after I sent my sister home. Tee-ed off the back 9 at quarter to three. I played quite well. My driver carried me through the afternoon and I did not get any pars but to get bogeys on a first attempt is very encouraging. The Pantai course is very wide and gives beginner like myself a better chance of not losing any balls. *LoL* I did not manage to finish the back 9 with 2 more holes to go because I had to rush off to get my fiance's stuff because I promised her I would accompany her to 'Bukit Markuching'.
So Wednesday was very packed. Before I left Adi and my Nini at Pantai they suggested we play again in the morning the next day. So what do I say to that suggestion? Simple answer from me, 'Why not!' *LoL*
Thursday morning - Play 18 holes at Pantai mentiri. Tee-ed off at the front nine at quarter past seven. Again I did not finish the whole 18 because I had to leave at 12 becaused I promised to have lunch with the 'Mrs'. I left at the 14th hole and I lost score because just say that we had invited an 'uninvited guest' to play with us and he could not stop talking and I went mental because he was a 'know-it-all'. It affected my game so bad I kept on missing my shots. My ball kept topping and this person would say something about it. I was happy to go home and leave him but I was unhappy to not finish the course. Some people are just so annoying.
I spent the afternoon watching 'Grey's anatomy' Dvd box set season one and I will continue to do so today.
With only two days left on my holidays, I am hoping to play some more golf before I get back to work. But then again, with 'ramadhan' just around the corner I would like to play some more golf before I go a 'golf break'.
